GROWING COMMERCIAL LINES IN WISCONSIN AND IOWA

Our affiliation with Partners Mutual Insurance, in 2012, opened strategic opportunities for Penn National Insurance to expand our geographic diversification into Partners’ operating territories of Wisconsin and Iowa, and our strength in Commercial Lines presents growth opportunities to Partners’ agents. Partners had been focused primarily on Personal Lines before our affiliation.

During 2016, we will introduce a portfolio of new Commercial Lines products for Partners Mutual Insurance.

To do so, we will be implementing a new policy administration system, which we will introduce first for Partners in 2016, and then we will migrate from Penn National Insurance’s existing policy administration system to this new system for all of Penn National Insurance. The new system will facilitate immediate growth for Partners, and greatly benefit Penn National Insurance as we begin to implement it for our entire company in 2017 and into 2018.

The new system includes improved user interfaces, agent and underwriter collaboration tools, a new rating engine, business rules, automated workflows, third-party interfaces and form compilation.

Partners’ agents are eagerly anticipating the new Commercial Lines product offerings and the dramatically enhanced ease of doing business that the new policy administration system will usher in.

We will deliver new Commercial Lines products in two phases. The first phase will be the introduction of new Business Owners, Commercial Auto and Workers’ Compensation products, with an implementation date targeted for the fourth quarter of 2016.

The final phase, which will round out our full product offering, will include the introduction of new Commercial Package, Property, General Liability, Inland Marine and Umbrella products, with a 2017 implementation.

We will leverage our same straight-through- processing rules and our current small business guides. A consistent approach will also serve as the foundation for more efficient implementation when later integrating the same system in our own existing states.
